The Sr Strategic Planner is responsible to maximize the company’s investments in inventory, equipment and facilities and supports capital planning on a global scope in order to ensure the company’s continued growth and profitability while collaborating with Engineering, Operations and key leadership around the world.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing working capital processes and help to drive culture of total commitment to improving the company’s cash conversion cycle for further reinvestment.
Conduct financial analysis of opportunities for working capital improvement, within the context of commercial requirements of the business.
Perform strategic and what-if-scenario planning, succinctly outlining key drivers and risks to projections. Lead and implement assessment of performance vs. strategic plans setup on a periodic basis.
Analyze and partner with each facility and Business Management Team (BMT) to drive inventory levels, inventory positioning, and planned production and sales forecasts in order to maximize company’s inventory levels and allocations.
Model and articulate long-term business options, and contribute in the development of cases for investment.
Acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the strategies, priorities and issues of the company and what drives our need for inventory working capital to optimize and improve upon it.
Work with leadership on capital investment accountability, including look back analysis and capacity utilization tracking.
Collaborate effectively across all functions (e.g. Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing and HR).
Work effectively across all levels of employees, including officers, to influence CoorsTek’s strategy development to address significant and complex long-term planning issues.
Bachelors degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, Finance, other related field.
At least 5 years of operations/strategic planning, including inventory planning and capital planning experience.
