The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will work cross-functionally as an organizational leader in collaboration with the other members of the senior leadership team, and will lead Business Office, Finance and Accounting, Facilities, Security, and other operational functions of the School. The COO will partner closely with the President, the Board of Trustees and the Leadership Team to set strategic goals and advance the School’s mission and values.
This position requires a proven leader who is eager to participate and contribute to an organization that is making a significant difference in the lives of children, families, and the broader community. Further, the COO is a leader who understands and appreciates collaboration, and will represent the very best interests of Mid-Pacific and its core values.
Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting.
Master's of Business Administration degree desirable.
Five to eight years of managerial accounting/business officer experience which would include a minimum of five years of supervisory experience.
High degree of computer literacy with demonstrated expert skill level in spreadsheets, word processing, and accounting software and systems.
Strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of labor laws as it pertains to payroll.
Previous experience at a non-profit organization and/or independent school highly desirable.
Ability to apply Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for nonprofits to the school's accounting system.
Excellent oral and written skills.
Prefer CPA or CMA certification.
