The Colorado Health Facilities Authority (the "Authority") is seeking an Associate Executive Director/CFO and Controller. The Associate Executive Director is responsible for the financial operations of the Authority, including ongoing development and monitoring of financial and operational strategies, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve Authority assets and report accurate financial results.This position is accountable for the accounting operations of the Authority, including budget preparations, the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the Authority reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
The Associate Executive Director is also responsible for compliance with financing loan documents. The primary compliance responsibilities include reviewing monthly trustee statement activity to ensure transactions are in compliance with financing documents, and maintaining monthly trustee statement files and a schedule of bonds outstanding.
BS in accounting or finance or professional experience with tax-exempt bond documents or other related areas.

The Colorado Health Facilities Authority (the "Authority") was created by the Colorado Legislature in 1977 as a financing vehicle to enable nonprofit public and private health care institutions to access the tax-exempt market when financing or refinancing healthcare facilities. The Authority does not receive any State funds and is not a state agency. Its operations are funded through fees charged to borrowers.
